In 2023 our founder prepped for a board sync and tried to answer a simple question: how much does our software cost per month? Twelve vendor dashboards, four different billing cycles, two tools nobody remembered signing up for.
He built a spreadsheet. Pulled pricing pages manually. Refreshed it every Monday. Other founders asked for a copy. Then their ops leads. The spreadsheet broke at about forty concurrent users and ExpensifyStack became a product.
Mission unchanged: small teams shouldn't overpay for SaaS because pricing pages are designed to hide the total. The data is public. Someone had to add it up.

We show stale data with a date stamp. "Contact sales" plans get marked estimated or excluded — we don't invent enterprise quotes. Boring accuracy beats exciting guesses.
